BA HONS & ISTD DDE

ISTD DANCE TEACHER

Sasha began her dance and drama training at a very early age.  She was a Cecchetti ISTD ballet scholar, awarded a scholarship to study modern dance at Doreen Bird college, a member of the National Youth Theatre and the National Youth Ballet, performing at Sadlers Wells, and with the London City Ballet at the Orchard Theatre and the role of Titania in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at the Queen’s Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue.

 

Sasha gained a B.A. (Hons.) degree in Drama and Theatre Arts at Goldsmiths’ College, London University in 1994 where she performed in, choreographed and directed college productions such as “West Side Story” and “Into the Woods”.  Since graduating, she has obtained ISTD teaching qualifications in ballet and modern, taught acting, GCSE drama, LAMDA speech and drama classes, jazz, ballet, modern, tap and musical production for various schools and colleges in the area including her own:  Bromley High School, Breaside Preparatory School, Liz Burville Dance Centre, MMTC Musical Theatre College, Bromley Leisure Services, The Hart School of Dance and Drama and Italia Conti, as well as teaching pupils speech and drama privately.

 

Over many years, she has performed in various amateur and professional productions including pantomimes, at the Orchard Theatre and the Churchill Theatre, Bromley with Roy Hudd, Lionel Blair, Stephanie Lawrence and Wendy Richard, operas, ballets, musicals and plays.  She has also worked with the Opera Options company at the Lakeside Open Air Theatre in the grounds of Hever Castle, and the Kentish Opera company.
