KERRY INGHAM-WEST

ISTD DANCE TEACHER

Originally from Morpeth, Northumberland Kerry trained at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts for 6 years leaving with her Performing Arts Diploma and ISTD Teaching qualifications. Since graduating she has taught in many schools in and around Kent and Surrey, including Italia Conti Associate school in Chislehurst where she has taught since it first opened in 1995.

Kerry has choreographed for numerous shows, including at The Old Vic and Her Majesty’s in London. 

Kerry continued her teaching qualifications at The Centre first gaining her ISTD Diplomas and later  on receiving her Licentiate in both Modern and Tap. 

With over 25 years teaching experience Kerry teaches Modern, Tap, Ballet and Musical Theatre full time with children starting as young as 18 months! She regularly enters students for exams from Primary ISTD Modern and Tap up to Advanced 2, she has a 100% pass rate in her students ISTD exams mostly gaining Distinction and Merit awards.

Kerry enjoys teaching children to dance and seeing students continue to improve and has worked with so many children developing them from Primary classes to achieving Vocational Graded exams and onto Full Time Dance Education, she is dedicated and committed to sharing her knowledge, experience and love of dance with all her students. It really is the best job in the world!
